Ingredients

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • to taste fresh basil leaves
  • 1 quarter cup balsamic glaze
  • to taste salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  • as needed skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. On each skewer, thread a cherry tomato followed by a fresh basil leaf, and then a mozzarella ball. Repeat the process until each skewer has 2-3 tomatoes, basil leaves, and mozzarella balls (depending on skewer length).
  3. Once all the skewers are assembled, arrange them neatly on a serving platter.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze generously over the skewers, ensuring each one gets a nice coating.
  5. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
  6. Optionally, let the skewers sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the skewers on a long platter or a wooden board. You can add extra balsamic glaze in a small bowl for dipping and garnish with a few whole basil leaves for an elegant touch.
