Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • to taste graham crackers or pretzel sticks for dipping

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the apples. Wash them thoroughly and slice them into wedges, removing the core. You can leave the skin on for added texture and color. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, caramel sauce, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, blend the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in the chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips (if using) into the creamy caramel mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout.
  4. Transfer the caramel apple dip to a serving bowl or platter, smoothing the top with a spatula for an even finish.
  5. Drizzle a little extra caramel sauce on top for a beautiful presentation, and sprinkle a few extra chopped nuts on top for texture.
  6. Arrange the apple wedges, graham crackers, or pretzel sticks around the dip for easy dipping.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the dip on a wooden or slate platter with the apple wedges and dippers artfully arranged around it. You can also garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few whole nuts for added visual appeal. Enjoy!
