Ingredients

  • 3 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup granola (your choice)
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 0.25 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup crushed peanuts (or walnuts)
  • 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0 optional Whipped cream (for topping)
  • 0 optional Sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples thoroughly and slice them into thin wedges, removing the core and seeds. Arrange the slices on a large platter or serving dish in a fan-like manner.
  2. Evenly sprinkle the granola over the apple slices, ensuring some pieces fall between the wedges for extra crunch.
  3. Warm the caramel sauce slightly in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds to make it easier to drizzle. Use a spoon or a squeeze bottle to generously drizzle caramel sauce over the apple slices and granola.
  4. Evenly distribute the mini chocolate chips and crushed peanuts over the apple nachos for added flavor and texture.
  5. Lightly dust the entire platter with cinnamon for a warm spice note that complements the caramel and apples.
  6. If desired, add dollops of whipped cream on the side or a few sprinkles over the nachos for a festive touch.
  7. Serve the caramel apple nachos right away to ensure the apples remain crisp.

💡 Chef's Notes

For an extra special touch, serve the nachos on a rustic wooden board, and include a small bowl of extra caramel sauce for dipping. Adding some fresh mint leaves can elevate the presentation further.
