Cheesy Beef Biscuit Bombs Flavorsome Party Appetizer
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- optional chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it's browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper into the beef mixture, combining well. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring that the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the beef mixture.
- Open the package of biscuit dough and separate the dough into individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit in your palm to resemble a small circle.
- Place about a tablespoon of the cheesy beef mixture in the center of each flattened biscuit.
- Carefully fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling to create a ball shape, pinching the seams together to seal them well.
- Place the biscuit bombs seam side down onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out evenly.
- Brush each biscuit bomb with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish when baked.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuit bombs are puffed up and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
