Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 0 optional sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles along the perforations.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken and cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from the wide end to the point, sealing the edges as you go to form a crescent shape.
  6. Place the rolled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.
  7. Brush the tops of each roll with the beaten egg for a golden finish. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added flavor and texture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
