Chocolate Avocado Brownies Rich and Decadent Delight
Ingredients
- 1 large ripe avocado, mashed
- 0.5 cup coconut sugar
- 0.25 cup maple syrup
- 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.25 cup almond flour (or all-purpose flour)
- 0.5 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the mashed avocado, coconut sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined and smooth.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda to avoid lumps. Stir until evenly blended.
- Add the almond flour and combine until you achieve a nice batter consistency. If desired, use a hand mixer for an extra smooth mixture.
- Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (but not wet batter).
- Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Once completely cooled, cut into squares or rectangles for serving.
💡 Chef's Notes
Serve the brownies on a wooden cutting board, dusted with a light sprinkle of cocoa powder for elegance, and add fresh berries on the side for a pop of color. For an extra treat, drizzle a bit of melted dark chocolate on top.
