Ingredients

  • 2 whole ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.33 cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 0.25 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt
  • 0 Optional toppings: Whipped coconut cream, grated dark chocolate, or fresh berries

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the ripe avocados, unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend the mixture on high speed until it is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well combined.
  3. Taste the mousse; if you prefer it sweeter, add a bit more maple syrup and blend again until combined.
  4. Once the mixture is velvety and to your liking, transfer it to serving bowls or glasses.
  5. Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to enhance its texture and flavor.
  6. Before serving, top with your choice of whipped coconut cream, grated dark chocolate, or fresh berries for added elegance and flavor.
