Chocolate Avocado Mousse Creamy Dessert Delight
Ingredients
- 2 whole ripe avocados
- 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 cup pure maple syrup or honey
- 0.25 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- a pinch sea salt
- 0.25 cup dark chocolate chips
- to garnish fresh berries and mint leaves
Instructions
- Begin by cutting the ripe avocados in half, removing the pits, and scooping the flesh into a food processor.
- Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the food processor.
- Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary to ensure everything is well combined.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Allow it to cool slightly.
- With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the melted chocolate until fully incorporated. Blend for an additional 30 seconds for extra creaminess.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness as desired by adding more maple syrup if needed.
- Once the mixture is fully blended and creamy, spoon the mousse into serving dishes or bowls.
- Refrigerate the mousse for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
