Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated for safety)
  • 1 2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon milk (add more if needed)
  • 1 cup chocolate melting wafers (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the all-purpose flour on a baking sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes to heat-treat it, ensuring it's safe to eat raw. Let it cool completely.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract and salt, and then gradually add the cooled flour. Stir until all ingredients are fully combined. If the dough seems dry, add 1 tablespoon of milk until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. Use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form tablespoon-sized balls of cookie dough. Place them on a lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Melt the chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Dip each cookie dough ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated.
  7. Place the chocolate-coated bites back on the lined baking sheet. Refrigerate again for about 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is set.

💡 Chef's Notes

Arrange the cookie dough bites on a decorative plate, sprinkle some sea salt over them for an elegant touch, and serve with a side of melted chocolate for dipping.
