Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • to taste assorted dippers (pretzels, fruit slices, graham crackers)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes using an electric mixer.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract to the mixture, combining well until fully integrated.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift the all-purpose flour to remove any lumps. Gradually add the flour to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  4. Stir in the mini chocolate chips and salt, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. If the dip is too thick, gradually add the powdered sugar until you achieve your desired consistency; mix well until smooth.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. You can chill the dip in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to an hour for a cooler treat, though it's delicious at room temperature too.
  7. Serve with assorted dippers like pretzels, fruit slices, or graham crackers.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the dip in a cute bowl and surround it with assorted dippers for a colorful, inviting platter. Garnish with a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips on top for an extra touch!
