Chocolate-Covered Strawberries Delightful and Simple Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and dried
- 8 ounces dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
- 1 quarter cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)
- 0 Sea salt (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry for the chocolate to adhere properly.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat it fully. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
- If using white chocolate, melt it the same way as the dark chocolate in a separate microwave-safe bowl.
- Once the dark chocolate has set, use a fork to drizzle the melted white chocolate over each chocolate-covered strawberry in a zigzag pattern.
- Optionally, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt over the strawberries for an added touch of flavor.
- Return the strawberries to the fridge for another 10 minutes to set the white chocolate drizzle.
