Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and dried
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • 1 quarter cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)
  • 0 Sea salt (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry for the chocolate to adhere properly.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat it fully. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
  5. If using white chocolate, melt it the same way as the dark chocolate in a separate microwave-safe bowl.
  6. Once the dark chocolate has set, use a fork to drizzle the melted white chocolate over each chocolate-covered strawberry in a zigzag pattern.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt over the strawberries for an added touch of flavor.
  8. Return the strawberries to the fridge for another 10 minutes to set the white chocolate drizzle.
