Ingredients

  • 4 slices whole grain bread
  • 1 whole ripe banana
  • 0.5 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly spread coconut oil on each slice of whole grain bread and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Toast the bread in the oven for about 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping them halfway through for even toasting.
  4. While the bread is toasting, slice the ripe banana into thin rounds.
  5. Once the toast is ready, remove it from the oven and immediately spread a generous layer of chocolate hazelnut spread on each slice.
  6. Top the toasted bread with the banana slices, arranging them beautifully for an appealing presentation.
  7. Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts over the banana, followed by chia seeds if using, and finish with a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and freshness.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the toast on a wooden board or a colorful plate, and consider placing extra chopped hazelnuts and banana slices on the side for a decorative touch.
