Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
  • to taste pinch sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Line an 8x8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a medium saucepan, over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the creamy peanut butter until it is smooth and ready for incorporation.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the bowl with the peanut butter. Stir together until fully combined, and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. If using, fold in the chopped nuts for added texture.
  7. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  8. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top for an extra flavor boost.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  10. Once firm, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang and cut into squares.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the fudge squares on a decorative plate, optionally drizzling with melted chocolate and a sprinkle of crushed nuts on top for an elegant touch.
