Cinnamon Roll Waffles Tasty and Easy Breakfast Option
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough (8 oz)
- 1 4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 4 cup maple syrup
- 1 2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk or heavy cream
- 1 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together to create a cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Open the can of cinnamon roll dough and separate each roll. Unroll them gently and sprinkle a little of the cinnamon sugar mixture over each piece. If using, add chopped pecans for extra crunch.
- If desired, you can form a braided shape with the unrolled dough for a fun presentation, or simply twist it up and place it in the waffle iron.
- Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or butter, then place one or two pieces of the prepared dough in the center of the iron, depending on your waffle iron size.
- Close the waffle iron and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the waffle is golden brown and cooked through.
- While the waffles are cooking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk or heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the waffles are done, remove them carefully from the waffle iron and drizzle them immediately with maple syrup and the prepared glaze.
- Serve warm and enjoy your delicious twist on cinnamon rolls!
