Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Tenders Easy Flavor Burst
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- to taste salt and pepper
- 0.5 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- as needed cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Season the chicken tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Let it marinate on the counter for about 15 minutes.
- In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken tender in flour, shaking off excess, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it thoroughly with breadcrumbs. Repeat for all tenders.
- In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of cooking oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully place the chicken tenders in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In a small saucepan, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and crushed red pepper flakes. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sauce is smooth and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes. Do not let it boil.
- Once the chicken tenders are fried, toss them in the warm honey garlic sauce until they are well coated.
- Place the sauced chicken tenders on a serving platter. Drizzle any remaining honey garlic sauce over the top.
