Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Wonton Bites
Ingredients
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 0.5 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- 16 pieces wonton wrappers
- 1 cup Oil, for frying
- 0.5 cup crushed graham crackers
- to taste cup additional powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese, and mix until well combined.
- Gently fold in the finely chopped strawberries until evenly distributed in the cream cheese mixture.
- Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about one tablespoon of the strawberry cheesecake filling in the center of each wrapper.
- Brush the edges of the wonton wrappers with water to help seal them. Fold the wrappers diagonally into triangles and press the edges tightly to seal them securely.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot (around 350°F or 175°C), carefully add a few wonton bites at a time, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the wonton bites for about 2-3 minutes per side or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In a shallow dish, combine the crushed graham crackers and sprinkle some powdered sugar on top for dusting.
- While the bites are still warm, roll them in the graham cracker mixture to coat.
- Serve warm, dusted with additional powdered sugar for a sweet finishing touch.
