Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread Delightful and Easy
Ingredients
- 1 cup grated zucchini
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup cocoa powder
- 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 0.25 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, combine the grated zucchini, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not over-mix.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) until evenly dispersed through the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).
- Once baked, allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
💡 Chef's Notes
