Ingredients

  • 12 large jumbo shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cooked spinach, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • for garnish fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  4. Carefully fill each jumbo shell with the cheese and spinach mixture. Set aside.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish, seam side up. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes

Feel free to use homemade marinara sauce for added flavor.
