Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the steak bites generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer, taking care not to overcrowd the pan.
  3. Sear the steak bites for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a nice, brown crust. You might need to do this in batches depending on the size of your skillet.
  4. Once cooked to your desired level of doneness, remove the steak bites from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Allow it to melt before adding the minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Stir continuously for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  6. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce until they are fully coated. Cook for another minute to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the garlic butter steak bites in a cast-iron skillet for a rustic look, or on a wooden cutting board. Pair with toothpicks or skewers for easy serving, and garnish with extra fresh herbs for a pop of color.
