- 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced thinly
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper red or yellow, sliced
- 2 green onions chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, tossing them lightly with a dash of sesame oil to prevent sticking.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the sliced steak in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Sear for 2 minutes on each side or until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Toss in the sliced bell pepper and half of the chopped green onions. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the veggies are just tender.
- Return the steak to the skillet. Stir in the cooked noodles, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Gently toss everything together until the noodles are well-coated and heated through.
- Taste and adjust seasonings with extra salt, pepper, or soy sauce as desired.
- Remove from heat and top with the remaining green onions and a generous sprinkle of sesame seeds.
