Garlic Parmesan Air Fryer Chicken Simple and Tasty
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 spray cooking spray
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts to coat them lightly. This will help the breadcrumb mixture adhere better.
- Take each chicken breast and press it into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to coat both sides thoroughly.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Once preheated, lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other for even cooking.
- Cook the chicken for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. The chicken should be golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
💡 Chef's Notes
For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs.
