Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until they are evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Cook until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. While they’re still hot, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and, if desired, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for extra heat. Serve immediately while hot.

💡 Chef's Notes

For extra heat, add red pepper flakes.
