Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 8 sticks string cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 serving marinara sauce (optional for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Take one slice of ham and place it on the wide side of the crescent triangle.
  4. Place a string cheese stick on top of the ham, then sprinkle with garlic powder, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Starting at the wide end, roll the crescent dough around the ham and cheese, pinching the edges to seal the ends.
  6. Place the rolled sticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each stick.
  7. Brush the tops of the sticks with the beaten egg to give them a golden appearance once baked.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are puffed and golden brown.
  9. Allow them to cool slightly before serving. If desired, serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
