Homemade Hummus: Easy Recipe for Creamy Delight
Ingredients
- 15 oz canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 0.25 cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
- to taste salt
- as needed water
- for garnish paprika and fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, and a pinch of salt.
- Process on high for about 1 minute. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and continue processing.
- Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired creamy consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning by adding more salt or lemon juice as needed.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create a shallow well in the center.
- Drizzle with additional olive oil and sprinkle with paprika and chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
