Honey Garlic Salmon Flavorful and Easy Dinner Dish
Ingredients
- 4 fillets salmon
- 0.25 cup honey
- 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- to taste salt and pepper
- 2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)
- sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the honey garlic marinade over them, ensuring each fillet is well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the fridge for more flavor).
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated salmon on the sheet, skin-side down.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Optional: In the last 2-3 minutes, switch the oven to broil to caramelize the top for a golden touch.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve warm, drizzled with leftover marinade if desired, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
