Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry Quick and Tasty Meal
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- to taste sesame seeds for garnish
- as needed cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. If you prefer a thicker sauce, whisk in the cornstarch until well combined. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a splash of oil if needed. Add the sliced red bell pepper, broccoli florets, and snap peas. Stir fry the vegetables for about 3-4 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.
- Once the vegetables are ready, return the shrimp to the skillet and pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture. Stir to combine and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles, enjoying the delightful mix of flavors!
