Iced Matcha Coconut Latte Flavorful Refreshment Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
- 1 cup coconut milk (canned or carton)
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 4 ice cubes
- a pinch sea salt
- optional shredded coconut and matcha powder for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder to eliminate any clumps.
- Add the cold water to the matcha and whisk vigorously until the mixture is frothy and well combined, using a bamboo whisk or a small kitchen whisk.
- In a separate glass or jar, combine the coconut milk, honey (or agave syrup), and a pinch of sea salt. Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the whisked matcha over the ice.
- Gently pour the coconut milk mixture over the top of the matcha. The layers will create a beautiful gradient effect.
- If desired, top it with shredded coconut and a sprinkle of matcha powder for an extra touch.
- Stir well before drinking to combine the flavors.
