  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta with the marinara sauce, ensuring all the pasta is well covered.
  5. Layer half of the ziti pasta mixture into a large baking dish. Spoon dollops of the cheese mixture over the pasta, then layer with the remaining ziti mixture.
  6. Top with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese, covering the entire dish evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Once done, remove from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes

Let the dish sit for a few minutes before serving for better slicing.
