Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon zest of
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • as needed lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, and chopped dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off.
  5. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Close the lid and grill for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  6. Carefully flip the salmon fillets using a spatula and grill for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Serve the grilled salmon with a wedge of lemon and a sprinkle of fresh dill on top for garnish.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the salmon on a bed of mixed greens or alongside grilled vegetables for a colorful plate. Consider garnishing with additional dill and a few lemon slices for a vibrant touch.
