Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon Flavorful and Easy Dish
Ingredients
- 4 fillets salmon (6 oz each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 whole lemon, zest and juice
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh, if available)
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
- for serving lemon slices
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a baking dish with a tablespoon of butter to prevent sticking.
- In a small saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, lemon zest, and dried thyme. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, then remove from heat.
- Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the lemon juice over the fillets and then season them liberally with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the lemon garlic butter mixture over the salmon fillets, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven, and drizzle the remaining melted butter from the dish over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices on the side.
