Lemon Garlic Roasted Brussels Sprouts Tasty Side Dish
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon zest of
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the Brussels sprouts evenly.
- Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
- If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts during the last 5 minutes of cooking, allowing it to melt and turn golden.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before transferring to a serving dish.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for added color and flavor.
