Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken Juicy and Flavorful Meal
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts
- 0.25 cup olive oil
- 1 piece zest of lemon
- 0.25 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- lemon slices and fresh herb sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, and honey (if using) until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish, ensuring the chicken is well coated.
- Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably 3-4 hours for optimal flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess marinade drip off. Discard the marinade.
- Grill the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken has nice grill marks.
- Once cooked, remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with lemon slices and fresh herb sprigs before serving.
💡 Chef's Notes
