Ingredients

  • 2 whole ripe mangoes, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 bags green tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
  • 1 whole lime, juiced
  • to taste leaves fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • as needed cubes ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the green tea bags. Steep for about 5 minutes to achieve a strong flavor.
  3. While the tea is steeping, in a blender, combine chopped mangoes, pineapple chunks, and lime juice. Blend until smooth and well incorporated.
  4. Strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl to separate the juice from the pulp. Discard the pulp or save it for smoothies.
  5. After 5 minutes, remove the tea bags from the steeped green tea. Stir in honey while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.
  6. Combine the strained mango-pineapple juice with the sweetened green tea in a pitcher. Mix well to combine.
  7. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until cold.
  8. Serve over ice cubes in glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves for an added refreshing touch.

💡 Chef's Notes

Adjust honey to taste for sweetness.
