Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • to taste salt
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, and rosemary until well combined.
  2. Add the bite-sized steak pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to 4 hours for more flavor).
  3. Preheat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Once hot, use tongs to remove the steak bites from the marinade, letting the excess drip off.
  5. Sear the steak bites in the skillet for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness). Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the marinated steak bites in a rustic wooden bowl or on a platter with toothpicks for easy eating. Garnish with additional parsley and lemon wedges for a pop of color!
