Minute High-Protein Spicy Chicken Wraps Delightful Meal
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- to taste salt and pepper
- 4 whole whole-grain tortillas (or your choice of wrap)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 2 diced tomatoes
- 1 2 avocado, sliced
- 1 4 Greek yogurt or a dollop of sour cream
- for garnish fresh cilantro
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add the thin chicken strips and coat completely. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes, or while you prepare your other ingredients.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once heated, add the marinated chicken strips. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are cooked through and slightly crispy on the edges, stirring occasionally.
- While the chicken is cooking, lay out the whole-grain tortillas. Spread a spoonful of Greek yogurt (or sour cream) on each tortilla. Add a generous layer of shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and avocado slices.
- Once the chicken is cooked, place an even portion of spicy chicken strips on top of the vegetables. Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the top for added flavor.
- Fold the edges of the tortilla in and then roll it tightly from the bottom up to secure all the filling.
- Slice each wrap in half and serve immediately with extra Greek yogurt or a spicy dip on the side if desired.
