Peach Cobbler Bars Delicious and Easy Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with lemon juice and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Set aside to let the juices meld while you prepare the crust and topping.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract, stirring until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. If using pecans, fold them into the mixture.
- Press about two-thirds of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.
- Spread the peach mixture evenly over the crust, then crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before lifting out using the parchment paper.
- Cut into bars and serve warm, or allow to cool completely for easier cutting.
