Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (or canned peaches, drained)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (around 15.25 oz)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 serving vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until the peaches are well coated, and then pour this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the peach mixture, spreading it out to cover completely. Do not stir.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the butter.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve individual portions warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with a slice of fresh peach or mint.
