Philly Cheesesteak Fries Irresistible Comfort Food Delight
Ingredients
- 1 lb frozen French fries
- 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and cook the frozen French fries according to the package instructions until golden and crispy. Set aside when done.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Add the Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Pull the skillet from heat and mix the sautéed vegetables back into the steak.
- On a large baking sheet, place the cooked fries in an even layer. Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the fries.
- Generously sprinkle the provolone cheese over the top of the fries.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- After removing from the oven, garnish your Philly cheesesteak fries with freshly chopped parsley.
