Ingredients

  • 1 piece ripe banana, frozen
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, packed
  • 1 2 coconut water or filtered water
  • 1 2 Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup, optional
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • as needed cubes ice cubes, optional

Instructions

  1. Begin by peeling the frozen banana and breaking it into chunks for easier blending.
  2. In a blender, combine the banana chunks, fresh pineapple, and spinach leaves.
  3. Pour in the coconut water to help the ingredients blend smoothly.
  4. Add Greek yogurt for creaminess and texture.
  5. Include honey or agave syrup if you'd like additional sweetness; adjust according to your taste preference.
  6. Sprinkle in chia seeds for a nutritional boost.
  7. Blend all the ingredients starting at a low speed and gradually increasing to high until smooth. If you prefer a thicker consistency, add ice cubes and blend again until desired texture is achieved.
  8. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or consistency as necessary by adding more honey or coconut water.
  9. Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy immediately for maximum freshness.
