Sweet and Spicy Roasted Carrots Irresistible Flavor
Ingredients
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the peeled and cut carrots with olive oil, honey, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the carrots are evenly coated.
- Spread the carrots out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are fork-tender and caramelized at the edges.
- In the last 5 minutes of roasting, sprinkle sesame seeds over the carrots to toast them lightly.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Serve the roasted carrots on a platter, drizzled with any remaining glaze from the baking sheet, and sprinkle some extra sesame seeds on top for added texture and visual appeal.
