Baked Ham Cheese Croissants Irresistible and Simple
Ingredients
- 6 pieces buttery croissants
- 6 slices deli ham
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 piece egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice each croissant in half horizontally, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard and honey until well combined.
- Spread about a teaspoon of the mustard-honey mixture inside each croissant.
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese inside each croissant, then sprinkle with a tablespoon of shredded Gruyère cheese.
- Close the croissants carefully and place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the croissants with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish.
- Sprinkle a pinch of freshly ground black pepper over the croissants for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before garnishing with freshly chopped chives.
