Ingredients

4 cups water

4 tablespoons Thai tea leaves

1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup evaporated milk (or whole milk)

Ice cubes

Optional: Star anise or cardamom pods for flavor

Instructions

Boil the 4 cups of water in a pot over high heat.

Once boiling, remove from heat and add the Thai tea leaves. Stir well.

Let the tea steep for about 10-15 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove the tea leaves.

While the tea is still warm, add the sugar and stir until fully dissolved. You can add the optional star anise or cardamom pods at this stage for extra flavor.

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill.

To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice until the glass is about two-thirds full.

Top with sweetened condensed milk, then add a splash of evaporated milk for creaminess. Stir gently to combine.

Enjoy your refreshing Thai iced tea!
