Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1/2 cup Nutella

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

4 slices of thick bread (your choice: brioche, challah, or whole grain)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Begin by preparing your strawberries. Wash, hull, and slice them into thin pieces. Set them aside in a bowl.

Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds.

Take the bread slices and spread a generous amount of Nutella on one side of each slice.

On two of the Nutella-covered slices, layer the banana slices evenly over the Nutella. Top the bananas with the sliced strawberries.

Cover each fruit-topped slice with the remaining Nutella-covered slices (Nutella side down) to form a sandwich.

In a non-stick skillet or griddle, heat the butter over medium heat until melted.

Once the butter is hot, carefully place the sandwiches in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to ensure they don’t burn.

When both sides are cooked, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute.

Slice the sandwiches diagonally and place them on a serving plate.

Drizzle with honey if desired and dust with powdered sugar for a sweet finishing touch. Serve warm.

                      Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 20 minutes | Servings: 2

                        - Presentation Tips: Arrange the sandwich halves on a plate in a fan shape, and scatter a few whole strawberries on the side for vibrant color. Optionally, garnish with mint leaves for an extra touch.
