4 slices of American cheese

12 slider buns (mini brioche or sesame seed)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

1 medium tomato, diced

1 small red onion, finely chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Prepare the Special Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, and white vinegar. Set aside to let the flavors meld.

    Shape the Patties: Divide the ground beef into 12 equal portions and shape each into a thin patty. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

      Cook the Patties: In a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat, cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on top of each patty to melt.
