Ingredients

2 cups water

2 tablespoons dried sage leaves

2 tablespoons loose black tea or 2 black tea bags

1 cup fresh blackberries

1/4 cup honey (or to taste)

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Ice cubes

Fresh sage and blackberries for garnish

Instructions

Make the Sage-Infused Tea: In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the dried sage and black tea. Steep for 5-7 minutes, then strain out the leaves. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Blackberry Syrup: In another saucepan, combine the fresh blackberries and honey with a splash of water over medium heat. Mash the blackberries with a fork or potato masher and cook for about 5-6 minutes until the mixture thickens into a syrup. Strain through a fine sieve to remove seeds, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible.

Combine Ingredients: In a tall glass, add ice cubes, pour in the cooled sage tea, and add 2-3 tablespoons of the blackberry syrup (adjust sweetness according to your taste).

Create the Latte Layer: Slowly pour the milk over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect. Stir gently to mix, if desired.

Garnish and Serve: Add a few fresh blackberries and a sprig of sage on top for garnish. Serve immediately with a straw or a stirring spoon.
