Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup buttermilk

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a doughnut pan with non-stick spray or butter.

Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cream Butter and Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

Prepare Cinnamon Filling: In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with the remaining brown sugar.

Fill the Doughnut Pan: Pipe or spoon the doughnut batter into the greased pan, filling each cavity halfway. Sprinkle a portion of the cinnamon filling into the center of each doughnut, then cover with more batter until just about full.

Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the doughnuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Make the Glaze: While the doughnuts cool, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.

Glaze the Doughnuts: Once the doughnuts are cooled, dip the tops into the glaze and let the excess drip off.

Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle with extra cinnamon sugar or drizzle with chocolate sauce for added flavor.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 12 doughnuts

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the doughnuts on a stylish platter, garnished with a dusting of powdered sugar and a cinnamon stick for a warm, inviting aesthetic.
