Ingredients

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

1 French bread loaf

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the bread from the center to create space for the filling.

Spread the softened butter evenly on the cut sides of the bread. This will give it a nice richness and help with toasting.

Generously fill the hollowed-out bread with the cheesy chicken mixture, spreading it evenly.

Place the sandwich halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Slice into individual sandwiches and serve warm.
