When making cheesy garlic bread, the right ingredients are key. First, a large French baguette works best. It has the right shape and texture. Next, you need butter. I prefer unsalted butter for better control over the salt level.

Ingredients

1 large French baguette

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise to create two long pieces.

In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), and salt. Mix well until fully combined to create the garlic butter spread.

Spread the garlic butter mixture generously onto the cut sides of both halves of the bread.

In a separate bowl, mix the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

Sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over the garlic buttered sides of the baguette.

Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cut side up.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.

For an extra crispy top, broil on high for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close watch to prevent burning.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing into pieces.

Presentation Tips: Serve the cheesy garlic bread warm on a cutting board, garnished with extra chopped parsley for a pop of color. Pair it with a side of marinara sauce for dipping! Enjoy your cheesy creation!
