Ingredients

1 loaf of crusty baguette or Italian bread

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh oregano, finely chopped

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar (or lemon juice for a lighter flavor)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped oregano, red wine vinegar (or lemon juice), red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined into a garlic herb spread.

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, creating two long pieces.

Generously spread the garlic herb mixture over the cut sides of the bread, ensuring an even coating.

If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.

Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the garlic is fragrant.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before slicing into pieces.

Serve warm, accompanied by extra chimichurri sauce on the side for dipping.

                  Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                    - Presentation Tips: Arrange the sliced garlic bread on a serving platter and garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a pop of color. Pair it with a small bowl of chimichurri sauce for dipping to enhance the experience!
