2

2

semi-sweet chocolate chips
0.5
cup
chopped nuts (optional)
1
scoop
vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using), ensuring an even distribution throughout the dough.
Pour the cookie dough into a greased 10-inch cast-iron skillet, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is slightly soft.
Remove from oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. This will allow the center to firm up a bit.
Serve warm, optionally topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that will melt beautifully into the warm cookie.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
